This Programmer will be responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, system installation and setup for a mission critical application to UPS.

Responsibilities
- Planning and executing installation of software and system changes
- Monitoring system and application performance
- Taking corrective action for system component failures
- Creating and maintaining procedures
- Writing programs of low complexity matching detailed specifications and developing, executing and analyzing unit test plans for low complexity assignments
- Providing support to production site
- Supporting deployments to new sites including training
Knowledge and Skills:
The Programmer should have a good knowledge of:

Education:
The desired Programmer will possess a four year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experience. Years of experience = 1-3+.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science/related discipline and 1-4 years experience in systems analysis and application program development, or an equivalent combination in education and experience
- No relatives (excluding cousins) working with UPS or one of its subsidiary companies
- U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer
- C++ experience
- Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
- Experience with SQL Server
- Knowledge of Intel platform hardware & networking
